Man, I was so excited for your birthday this year because when I came up with Project 30, I knew it had to be something so special for your big 3-0. You joked about me making you lie in your vows, but in my defense, I planned this game long before you decided to tell all our wedding guests I will make a liar out of you, and once I started, I couldn't go back! That said, the spirit of our birthday game is really about doing something special for the person you love more than anyone in the world, giving them a gift that shows you listen, you care, you see them! I hope this gift translates to that.
So, what the hell is Project 30? It has been what I’ve secretly dubbed your birthday gift name so if you saw any files, pictures, Canva documents you wouldn’t plainly see ALI ARCADE. It’s been months of misdirection, built excitement, and trying to make sure this was perfect for YOU. It’s been painstaking ideating, cleaning, building, breaking, scrapping, rebuilding, testing, and finalizing this project but I think you’ll see the fruits of that labor throughout the game. So welcome to your sick-ass birthday gift. I hope you love it as much as I loved making it (like truly, I understand why people do this for a living, it is insanely fun).
You know, 30 is a big year, and it only gets celebrated once. Everyone worries about turning 30, but I will tell you that, so far, my 30s have truly been the best part of my life, especially since I've spent all of my 30s with YOU. I believe you don't get old just because your age goes up. You get old when you decide life doesn't need to have fun or playfulness in it anymore. I hope this game makes you feel like a kid again, especially on the days when things aren’t so fun.
All this to say, today and every day, I love you and celebrate you. And this year, to celebrate you, your birthday gift is Ali Arcade™. 30 games for 30 beautiful years of Ali.
